Move-in Working Bee

Our new den is finished and its time to empty those shipping containers and move in so we are holding a working bee on Sunday August 18th from 8am.

Please come down and help us out if you can spare a few hours…. 

Jobs we need to complete:

• Remove all the gear stored in the shipping containers such that the containers are empty and can be removed from site
• Remove the shelves from the containers and re erect them in their permanent home in the new den
• Re install the pioneering log racks in the canoe shed
• Open up the new tables and chairs and dispose of the cardboard boxes.
• Pack away all the equipment in its new homes (leaving the Scouts and Ventures to sort out their gear)
• Clean up and recommission the toilets.
• Set up the Kitchen
• Set up the Cleaners Cupboard
• If we get enough people and time – we can give the grounds a tidy up.

The pioneering log racks and shelves will need to be bolted to the concrete so we are looking for someone a bit handy with a masonry drill to take control of that project.

There will also be some rubbish to dump so if you have a Ute or Trailer bring it down so we can do a few trips to the dump.

Please remember to wear closed shoes, sun hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and please bring a water bottle.
